In 2020, the John Oteivbi Otabor Foundation was established in loving memory of the late John Oteivbi Otabor, a respected former Assistant Commissioner of Police who passed away in 1974. The foundation was founded by his daughter, Vera Verissimo (Nee Otabor), as a tribute to her father’s enduring legacy of service and compassion.
The foundation's mission is to support less privileged children and youth from extremely poor backgrounds, providing them with opportunities and hope for a brighter future. Through a variety of programs and initiatives, the foundation aims to address the educational, emotional, and developmental needs of these young individuals.
The John Oteivbi Otabor Foundation is driven by a commitment to honor the values and dedication of its namesake, ensuring that his legacy of public service continues to make a positive impact on the lives of those who need it most.
